I love trying on my mother's dresses from the 70's that she kept for me. My favorite pieces are a peach lace mini dress and a multi-colored beaded paisley halter dress that looks like something from The Summer of Love exhibition at the Whitney. There are many photographs of my mother in these dresses attending fabulous parties with her girlfriends. The girls are clad in fuschia, tangerine, and lime evening gowns. Remarkably, all of them have noticeably perfect and lustrous hair styled in updos and bobs. Recently my mother revealed the secret of groovy girls in the 70's:"GeeYour Hair Smells Terrific" shampoo in a bright pink bottle. You can purchase this product on the Vermont Country Store website. My mother and her friends all used it, and now I use it too. It makes your hair Marsha-Brady-shiny and leaves a delicate and clean scent that lingers throughout the day.
